Villa Gesell does offer more active nightlife than nearby Pinamar or Carilo.

Unless you plan to just relax at your resort or residence on the coast, you may find it convenient to rent a car when you are in this area. The distances between the different towns are substantial and walking much further than your nearby beach may prove un-interesting.
I have been in many beaches of the world but my best memories are in Argentina. I had decided to rent apartments in buenos aires in the coastal side of the Atlantic Ocean and I was able to see sea lions! Besides, the water was warm at night so I could swim in the evenings. It was perfect, a complete paradise!
